We can supply and install a variety of brands to meet all budgets starting from the most common Dahua Security Camera System, IVSEC security Camera systems which is an Australian owned and based company to top level Unifi by Ubiquiti which is a high end system that can integrate into a full networking system and building automation system.

Before installing security cameras we suggest you have an onsite visit with your security camera installer to ensure you are both aware of your requirements and the systems available. Other things to consider is what you require, remote monitoring, phone and app notifications, local monitoring etc.

Typically a standard security camera system with four cameras in a single storey home with adequate ceiling access will take approximately four (4) hours.

Typically for a reliable industry standard security camera system you should be budgeting approximately $2500-$3500 based on a hardwired four camera system.

Depending on the building layout, access and number of cameras required a small business security camera installation costs from $2250 inc GST.

You need a licensed electrician to install an EV Charger by law. A reputable licensed electrician will consider all factors when installing an EV charger including ensuring your electricity supply can handle the increased load, that your switchboard is equipped to handle the new EV charger. Your licensed and insured electrician must also issue you with a Certificate of Compliance as required by law in NSW .

The systems supplied and installed by a licensed security installer are usually hard wired with dedicated recorders and not a wireless battery system that is subject to power failures and network drop outs.

There are several safety aspects to an electrical installation that your licensed electrical should point out should you have issues within your home or business such as:

• Current in date smoke alarms (less than10 years old)
• Observing any light switches or power points that are damaged
• Visually inspecting your switchboard and advising if you have the most up to date circuit protection and if you have the most up to date safety switches/RCD (Residual CurrentDevices) installed to protect you against potential electric shock.
• Your licensed electrical must also isolate/turn the power off when entering either a roof/ceiling space or under the floor to adhere to a directive from SafeWork NSW.
• Your licensed electrician will always isolate/turn off the power to the equipment they are working on.
• Your licensed electrician will carry out mandatory testing to AS3017 and AS3000
• Your licensed electrician must always issue you with a Certificate of Compliance for Electrical work as required by law in NSW https://www.fairtrading.nsw.gov.au/trades-and-businesses/construction-and-trade-essentials/electricians/electrical-compliance-requirements

• The brand of the security camera system
• The number of security cameras to be installed
• The image quality including megapixels and quality of night vision
• Building materials such as internal and external for cable installation
• Single or double storey home
• Ease of access for cabling installation from the Network Video Recorder to the security cameras and the internet connection point.

• Try not to choose a chandelier that requires a long drop from the ceiling that will be installed on a low ceiling
• Avoid choosing a small chandelier to be installed in a large void area
• Ensuring consideration on the installation location as most chandeliers in stairwell voids require scaffolding to complete the chandelier installation safely.
• Always check with your licensed electrician if the chandelier installation location is suitable and that the ceiling can support the size and weight of the chandelier.

Most EV Charger installations in apartment buildings will require a site visit based on installation factors and power availability. Typically a standard single phase EV charger installation starts from $950 inc GST in a location adjacent to the switchboard.

Depending on the style or pendant light and your personal preference we suggest installing a pendant light between 70 centimetres to 1 metre above a kitchen bench. Typically you will want to ensure the pendant light installation has a functional use over the bench without blocking any interaction or conversation with others on the other side of the island bench.

Professionally installed security cameras generally have little maintenance. The key thing to do is view your camera feeds from time to time to ensure the images are clear as occasionally the security camera lens/housing gets covered in spider webs and require some cleaning. Also check that your system is still recording by doing a playback on the recordings. These two checks are important as you do not want to find out your system is not recording or the image is not clear in the event something happens. As with most things technology changes and improves so speak with your licensed security camera installer about your current system and if it still meets your requirements.

Apart from the cost of the EV Charger itself the EV Charger installation cost is usually $450inc GST more for a three phase installation adjacent to the main switchboard although more expensive there is the benefit of faster EV charging.

The main factor to consider for an EV Charger installed in your home is preventing any dust build up on the EV Charger and ensuring there is sufficient air flow around the EV Charger and not surrounding the unit with clutter to prevent overheating. You should always press the “Test Button” on the Safety Switch/RCD in the switchboard every three months to ensure correct operation and check that the EV charger loses power when the test button operates.
